About Me.
I’m Joanna Munster, a botanical and wildlife artist creating detailed artwork inspired by the natural world. I work in watercolor, colored pencil, pastel pencil, and gouache, I love painting flowers, birds, leaves, and the small natural details that I find in the forest around me.
My work is created slowly and carefully by hand, with attention to structure, color, texture, and realism. Each piece begins with observation and becomes either an original artwork or a fine art print for collectors who love nature, detail, and timeless art.
I recently completed the Society of Botanical Artist Distance Learning Diploma with distinction, which helped me in deepening my focus on accuracy, composition, and traditional botanical painting techniques. That training continues to shape the way I approach each subject — with patience, curiosity, and respect for the natural form.
My hope is that each piece brings a little of the outdoors inside.
